What are ballpark costs of having a solar system installed?

Will you be able to give a quote over the phone?
A quick phone call should enable us to give you a quote, but we may need to see where the panels are going to be placed.
Are there grants available to install solar panels?
If your residence was constructed prior to 2021, there are substantial grants accessible for residential PV Solar installations. Do you do the planning and the installation yourselves?
Yes, Green Energy Renewables carries out all aspects of the solar installation project.
Do you give guarantee and after sales service?
The solar panels come with a guarantee from the manufacturer of typically 90% production at 10 years and 80% at 25 years, and our install comes with a 3 year guarantee.
Do I still need a connection to the electricity with a solar PV system?
Without battery storage, or if you require more electricity than the solar setup provides, then you will need to maintain a grid connection.
What are the factors affecting the cost?
Outside of the cost of the panels and accessories, the main factor affecting the cost is where the solar panels are going to be placed.
At what stage can work could be started?
Once we do our quote, agree on the planning stage (placement, amount of panels etc.), and ensure your grant is in order, both sides can agree on a date to commence work.
Will I be shown how to work the system?
Absolutely, once the system is up and running we will show you everything you need to know.
Do you offer a post install service?
Yes, we offer service and maintenance options once we have completed your project.
How long is return on investment?
When the SEAI is deducted from the panels and installation cost, typical return on investment period is around 6 years depending and the size of the system and if there is a battery storage system included.
Will I need planning permission?
No, planning permission is not required.
